Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Eyelid surgery can remove the excess fat and drooping skin of the upper eyelids and minimize bags under the eyes and tighten the lower eyelid skin.

Typical Desired Outcome:
  1. A more alert and rested appearance.
Best Candidates:
  1. Patients with excess skin that hides the natural fold of the upper eyelid.
  2. Patients with puffiness in the upper eyelid that creates a tired look.
  3. Patients with excess skin and fine wrinkles of the lower eyelids.
  4. Patients with puffy “bags” and in some cases dark circles of the lower eyelid.
Typical Recovery Timeframe:
  1. A cool compress is suggested for the first 24 hours.
  2. Sutures will be removed 4 to 5 days after surgery.
  3. Patient will return to light activity in 7 days.
  4. You can begin to use makeup to conceal discoloration after one week.
