Facelift
A facelift (rhytidectomy) smoothes the loose skin on your face and
neck; tightens underlying tissue and removed excess fat. As a result,
your face will appear firmer and fresher.
- Typical Desired Outcome:
- Improvement of the deep cheek folds, jowls and loose, sagging
skin around the neck that come with age.
| Best Candidates: |
- Good physical health of any age.
- Good emotional health and reasonable expectations.
- Deep lines that run from the corner of your nose to
the corner of your mouth.
- Loss of well defined jaw lines.
- Loose skin, wrinkles or excess fatty tissue in the neck.
|
| Typical Recovery
Timeframe: |
- Sutures will be removed 5 to 7 days after surgery.
- Patient will return to normal activity in two weeks.
- Numbness in the facial area will diminish, however some
numbness may persist for several months.
